Daily sea excursion to Alonissos marine park
National Marine Park of Alonissos Northern Sporades is the first marine park in Greece, that protects the sea wildlife: monk seals Monachus-Monachus, more than 80 types of bird (tiny warblers, cormorants, falcons (eleonorae), bee-eaters, herons, gulls, eagles etc), more than 300 species of fish, along with reptiles and other animals.
The park (2.265km2) includes the island of Alonissos, six smaller islands (Peristera, Kyra Panagia, Psathoura, Piperi, Skantzoura and Gioura), as well as 22 uninhabited islets and rocky outcrops.
The sea excursion around the marine park has 8 hours duration - you can see the wildlife and enjoy swimming in beautifully clear water.
